I bought it online, and downloaded it. It took over an hour to download the 7GB install file - it felt so retro. :-) I am about 5 missions in - awesome, so far. I still have to try out multi-player.

Well, I'm not much of an RTS player, ok, maybe some C&C Generals here and there... is it worth-it?

I also haven't played an RTS game since C&C Red Alert 2 ... so you are still ahead of me ;)

But when I was still in school and we were having a lan every weekend it was either Quake2 or SC that we played. So I had to see what blizzard have been up to the last 10 years! ... and so far I'm impressed :) But it's kinda up to you, SC for me isn't worth it if you aren't going to play the multiplayer, so if your into competitive online gaming ... then definately buy it!

When it comes to RPG (no1) and FPS (no2) it easier for me to buy a game, but RTS games really have to be good, before I look at them.
Lately I'm more RPG-orientated.

I'm more of a skirmisher than a campaign-player. Does it have a skirmish mode ( like C&C/BFME-based games ) and doesn't it suck like that of WC3?
I like skirmishes because it gives you that arcade-like replayability.

I saw a skirmish option, but I haven't actually tried it ... been playing campaign and online :)

Let me give it a try and see what kind of challenge the AI gives etc and I'll let you know!

I ordered UT3 from the UK on Friday (not buying the cheap one they got here lately), but mostly for R&D purposes.
