Hi to all!
If you're in the Durban area, and you consider yourself a game developer of some description or are interested in game development in some way, you're more than welcome to come along to the Durban Dev LAN happening this coming Saturday (March 6th). Here's a couple details:
When:
- Saturday 6th March 9.30am - 5pm
Where:
- CTI
- 59 Adelaide Tambo Drive (old Kensington Drive)
- Durban North
What to bring:
"A computer/laptop to dev on, try to have your favorite dev environment loaded and ready to go."
What to expect:
"The day is going to pretty much be a bunch of like-minded individuals getting together, making games, sharing ideas and having fun. I'll announce a theme in the morning and then the rest of the day will be spent making something around the theme. If there are a fair number of people new to game dev I'll hold a little tutorial to help get everybody started and up to speed. You are free to use any language/environment to make your game but Game Maker is highly recommended due to its rapid turnaround time."
You should also visit this Game.Dev forum thread for more details, to confirm your presence and/or interest, or ask some questions if you're not sure about the whole thing.
Hopefully, my brother (Kyle-Ben) and I will see you there!
